Ashcombe runs fine yarn-dyed stripes in a close, even repeat across the duvet cover and pillowcases, so the pattern reads as a quiet rhythm rather than a bold graphic. The weave has a slubby, slightly irregular surface that creases and drapes loosely, and the duvet cover turns over to a plain natural ground on the reverse — a calm side to flip to when the bed is turned down. The pillowcases fasten with narrow fabric ties instead of a hidden closure.
The two colorways sit at opposite ends of the same idea. Charcoal Stripe is the graphic one: near-black lines on an undyed cream ground, crisp enough to anchor a plain room. Flax Stripe is tonal and much softer, with off-white lines drawn over a warm oat ground so the stripe only surfaces up close. Both share the same undyed natural reverse and pair easily with raw wood, lime-washed walls, and other undyed textiles.
